Driving Curriculum that Builds Competency
The Calgary driving course, developed by Alberta Transportation and taught by approved driving schools such as Driving 101, consists of theoretical and practical lessons to assist new drivers in imbibing the correct driving skills and techniques required to successfully navigate their vehicles in real-time traffic situations.
In addition to the class 5 GDL driver training course, Driving 101 provides a variety of driving courses, including RV driving, defensive driving, and demerit reduction courses, winter driving (essential for Calgary weather), brush-up lessons, and other customized advanced driving courses, which are aimed at to improve drivers’ skills and confidence.
The extensive experience of the certified driving instructors at Driving 101 in Calgary ensures that each student is trained as per a personalized training plan that allows them to absorb the lessons at their own pace of learning.
The Class 5 GDL driving course consists of two parts. Part I covers the theoretical driving principles, while Part II provides actual on-road driving training. Both sections of training emphasize the credo “safety first,” as roads are not racing tracks.
Students are trained in the art of anticipation and accordingly adopt safety maneuvers to prevent accidents.
Such is the character of Calgary driving courses.
